Unity Sound returns to Carena’s

Posted by unitysound on April 4, 2009

We are really looking forward to our return to Carena’s Jamaican Grille on Richmond’s southside near Cloverleaf Mall.

Carena’s is a great local Jamaican restaurant that is run by Jamaican born Carena and local superstar chef Jimmy Sneed.  Their food is fabulous and authentic.  I have tried the jerk chicken and the pumpkin soup and both were delicious.

Unity Sound plays at Carena’s on April 18 and again on May 30.

Our last gig there was a full house and it was quite gratifying to get so many complements from the folks who really know reggae.  Our philosophy is to play reggae with no other ingredients (i.e. rock) and keep it faithful to the Jamaican spirit.  It is nice to feel we have succeeded in that regard.
